About us
Our History
Sigma Pharmaceuticals, LLC is a wholesale distributor of ophthalmic supplies to healthcare professionals across the United States. The company was founded in 1985 by Dr. Gary Fisher, President and CEO, and Marcia Fisher, CFO, whose goal was not only to provide a wide variety of name brand and generic ophthalmic pharmaceutical & exam supply options, but also to meet the individual needs of practitioners. The knowledgeable and friendly staff at Sigma Pharmaceuticals makes every effort to provide one-on-one customer service, filling special requests for ophthalmic products not regularly carried.
In 2007, Gary and Marcia's daughter, Nichole, joined the company as Director of Operations, ensuring that Sigma Pharmaceuticals remains committed to shipping only the highest quality ophthalmic products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Sigma Pharmaceuticals does not have a minimum order requirement and is proud of the fact that the company's rates have remained competitive within the industry.

Our Facility
Our distribution center is conveniently located in North Liberty, Iowa, which allows us to ship all of our ophthalmic supplies across the United States in a timely and efficient manner.
Our Accreditation
In February, 2020 our facility earned Quality & Security (QAS) Accreditation through the National Coalition for Drug Quality & Security (NCDQS). Wholesale drug distributors that are accredited by NCDQS are verified to have proper licensing, appropriately source, handle and secure prescription products, verify vendors and customers, and comply with state and federal regulations. Applicants for QAS Accreditation must undergo a rigorous review of submitted data and select policies and procedures, background checks on key personnel, licensure verification, and an on-site survey to verify security, storage conditions, performance to policies and procedures, and operations.
