Onyix and Quartz Sleep Shields for CPAP

Onyix is a soft, flexible silicone shield that was developed especially for patients with sleep apnea who use a CPAP mask. Onyix is a lightweight and comfortable shield that provides protection from the drafts created by many CPAP masks. Unlike other tranquileyes goggles, Onyix is foamless and while it does seal tightly against the skin to shelter the eyes, it is not designed for moist-heat and cold therapies. The shield is latex free.

The Quartz is a soft, pliable and very comfortable clear silicone shield that was also developed for patients with sleep apnea who use a CPAP mask. Although the Quartz was originally intended for use during sleep, in focus groups, many chronic dry eye patients found themselves wearing them not only at night but also periodically throughout the day for immediate dry eye relief. (Please note, however, that while the optics are good enough for many daytime activities, they are not satisfactory for driving.) Just like the Onyix, the Quartz is a foamless shield. Although the Onyix and Quartz are not intended for moist heat or cold treatments, they will fog with extended wear to create additional moisture for dry eye patients. Each kit includes one silicone shield with secure sleep strap, a gray microfiber bag for cleaning/carrying and a stainless steel canister for storage.
