Dermabond® is a is a high viscosity, sterile skin adhesive that is designed to hold many cuts, wounds and incisions together as effectively as stitches. In addition, Dermabond provides a layer of protection from bacteria that may lead to infection. Dermabond is waterproof, and it comes off by itself as the wound heals, leaving none of the discolorations or "track marks" that stitches can leave. It is especially useful for the sensitive skin on the face.

The vial is comprised of a crushable glass ampule contained within a plastic vial with attached applicator tip to facilitate precise placement of adhesive to wound site. The vial comes packaged in a sterile pouch.
